5 March 2008
I was in KL on 5th of March. My boss brought us to Malaysia International Furniture Fair (MIFF) that located in PWTC. We walked around and "absorb" the latest design or concept that promoted in furniture industry.
Oh my god! our legs were ache. My colleague - Joleen who wearing a high heel shoes keep shouting for pain.. Imagine we had a non-stop walking around 3 hours. Honestly, i did enjoy to this trip. I can feel the "passion" of design.."warmth" of a comfortable home..
That's why i keep dreaming of having my own house...with my own decoration...with the colors that i like..
Around 8pm only we check-in to the hotel...and 10pm only we had our dinner...
how pity we were...
6-10th March 2008
Export Furniture Fair Malaysia 2008, that's the reason i was there. I was sent to promote the company's new product.
Everyday,we gonna wake up at 6.30am to queue for bath, breakfast n so on... Timing must be always right.. if not, queue for the last number.
The schedule is same..after having breakfast in hotel (squeeze with lots of tenants)..then sit the boss' Citroen to the Bukit Jalil Complex for our exhibition..
Around 150 companies participate this time..Everyone spent efforts & money on their booth design...except my boss.. He did nothing... Actually, we participate on last minute decision. Some one's company gave up the booth..& the organizer called to invite us..My boss said..since it is cheaper..then we go lo...aih~
I do speak English during this few days..lots of international buyer from different countries. a chance for me to polish my speaking and to build up my confidence..
let me share u all some interesting stories..I got 2 buyers from Italy.. who are friendly and funny..the most important thing is the boss can't speak English..his partner will do the translation..My boss is not fluent in English too.. So, he told my boss "as long as we are boss..we got the money..English is not important"..
They keep "kissing" us when they met us..haha..i can still remember when the Italian boss 1stly kissed my colleague- Elyn..she was shock and dunno how to response.. actually is their way to show their polite and concern to the friends. here, i learnt their western culture..
Then, another buyer from Denmark, he is a funny person..He did something that made me so "cuak"..when we were discussing bout the price..he suddenly hold my hand..he asked: "why your hand so cold?" i was shock..then simply bluff him "the air-con gonna made me into snowman." i dunno Wat his motive..maybe juz wana show his concern.. Caucasian always friendly..so..u guys don't cuak when a caucasian hold your hand or kiss your cheek next time..
I did learnt a lot from this event and know lots of friends from different places. It is a golden opportunity for me to increase my knowledge scope.
